Three New Zealand athletes qualified to participate in Karate at the Combat Games by virtue of being current Oceania Champions - Letitia Carr (-61kg), Tamara Glyn (-68kg) Chris Bennett (+80kg). Tamara was unavailable due to work and study commitments. Letitia and Chris have both confirmed their availability to compete at this prestigious event. Given the success of New Zealand athletes in WKF international competition last year, Karate New Zealand is confident that our elite athletes will challenge strongly for medals.
